Barbados Weddings

Trips Down The Aisle - Weddings on the go! has been working with destination wedding couples to the Caribbean for the past 10 years.  All of our consultants are Certified Destination Wedding Specialists by the Destination Wedding Association  plus the various island's Tourism Boards and member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization.  We value our expert knowledge to the Caribbean.

Barbados has a wide range of accommodations, from elegant resorts to intimate guesthouses. Dining in Barbados is a feast for all senses, from folk recipes for Flying Fish (a culinary "national treasure"), to culinary experiences that rival the world's finest. Diverse sightseeing options feature a wide array of natural attractions, abundant sporting choices, world-class shopping and lively nightlife. With all this, and a temperate year-round climate of sunshine and warm breezes, it is clear how Barbados has remained the Caribbean's most re-visited destination.

Wedding Requirements

Documents:

You both will need valid passports as proof of citizenship. Make certain your passport has not expired and is valid for at least six months after your departure date in Barbados.  We suggest an original copy of your birth certificate (with a raised seal) in addition to your valid passport..

If either of you have been previously married, then bring along the original divorce decree. A widow(er) must bring both the original marriage and death certificates. These documents must have the raised seal from the court, because photocopies are not acceptable.

The application for a marriage licence must be made by both parties, in person, at the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Fees:

The fees are normally handle through the resorts that we work with however if you are looking for a private villa wedding then you must apply in person.  If neither party is a citizen or resident of Barbados - BDS $150.00 cash and a $25.00 stamp

There is no waiting period for Barbados weddings.

Resorts

We use both all inclusive, traditional resorts and private villas throughout the island.  All the signs pointed towards Barbados. This is the island where the famous pop singer Rihanna is from, where Tiger Woods wed at Sandy Lane Resort and where the recent The Bachelor ending shows where filmed.

Our consultants know that every couple is unique, so we work with the various resorts and venues to personalize you day.  The lush tropical Caribbean islands offer you the most unique spots for your wedding.  There are white sand beaches with turquoise waters, waterfalls, tropical gardens, mountainous backdrops and spectacular sunsets dipping into the Caribbean Sea.

The services that we offer here and at all the destinations that we work with extend beyond just travel and wedding planning.  We offer activities outside resorts like golfing, scuba and/or tours, want a limo, a spa treatment, restaurant outside of the resort for a special dinner, or private yacht we can arrange to your personal tastes!

Our Certified Destination Wedding Specialists are well versed in various religions and traditional ceremonies.  Over the years we have created weddings for Catholic, to Hindu, to Moslem and Jewish bridal couples.  And was able to create traditions like jumping the broom.  Whatever your wishes are just ask us!

Throughout the Caribbean islands our Certified Destination Wedding Specialists work with a trusted network of professionals, resorts chains (2 or more resorts with the same name)who are very proficient in the way they work with destination wedding couples.  These resorts are ones we trust with our clients.  Lets face it anyone and/or resort can put up a wedding site, but it is the years of experience that creates a great wedding!
